The ability of the artist is to see things where others can not...  Can you imagine what this broken piece of marble was, thrown in a corner in a factory after a construction accident? Try to double it in your mind and look at it flat, from top. You will then hopefully see a hotel sink, with the central oval where the tap is normally placed.
